Plastering is usually prepared internally with the following procedures.  Builders Newcastle plasterers will lay down and secure area with dust sheets and plastic sheets to cover furniture, windows etc.  We will then remove, hack away all loose debris, artex, flakes etc and coat with PVC or uni-bond to provide solid key.  We will then tape and double tape any cracks or big holes and fill with bonding or browning.  Both under coats are used depending on the suction and key of background.  Sand and cement can also be used.  Once set and keyed up we will apply 2 skim coats of plaster and smooth finish with a final dry trowel leaving a smooth clean paper like finish.
